I also used to see them often as a kid growing up in a poorer neighborhood. Now, I get them from time to time in my forex fun. These are stacks of five.

I haven't roll searched in a while, been going thru some pocket change that I have stored. Ikes show up in my area every once in a while. Not too often. Kennedy's are harder to find.

Give it a shot Sal, Go ask the tellers if they have any customer wrapped rolls. If they like ya they will give you Granny's pocket change, if they don't they will give you the last collectors returns.

Some day when I go with the wife, and she has the patience to do the transaction. She's always in a hurry.
This year I'm getting my license back. Stopped for medical reasons before and never renewed it. :(
Maybe doing some Metal Detecting also.

Just a stash Sal, If you make it mandatory that you pay yourself a part of your wage, forget about it, if you have been putting it away it's a quick cash in to help pass the tide.

Nice proof large date 1960 cent.
I found a very interesting coin today, sorry I didn't take a photo. I have been having difficulty getting good photos and I immediately put it in a flip. I went through some rolls in my fruitless search for a W, a Celia Cruz, a quality Jovita Idar or Mary Alice Walker, (I have 17 shots at a W if I get one I will photo and post it.)
Anyway in one of the rolls I came across a brand new 1976 quarter. From the luster I assumed it was an S but it isn't it is a D. The reverse is immaculate and the obverse has a couple of bag nicks but nothing bad. This coin is absolutely MS.
If it had been in circulation, etc. Must have been in someone's collection and they either accidentally, or purposely spent it.

Back when I was hitting up banks for rolls of half dollars, the teller offered me four very old-looking quarter rolls. They turned out to be all Bicentennial issues, and it looked like they were put away the year they were issued. Maybe I'll haul those out and see if anyone's interested next year, when our 250th rolls around...

I get the chance every once in a while, to go thru coins with friends or customers. I will pull the oddest coins out of the stash, and they go why would this clad coin have value, It is always the condition.
    Nice find!

When I said "maybe I'll haul them out next year", what I really meant was "maybe I'll be able to find them by next year"...

I just looked around and don't remember where I put them. It was only a month and a half ago.

No, just older age. I had to of put them in a stash somewhere.
My key to stashing is multiple spots in the house, I always tell my kid. If I pass you make sure you go thru everything before you get rid of it.

0-17 on the Ws. Looking at the 1976-D in the flip by the window, it is even more
    spectacular than yesterday.

    Nickel box #22:
Finally a really good one again! Silver, buffalo, foreign, semi-keys, really hit "nickel bingo" with this one.

First off, finally got a 1943-D silver war nickel, that filled a hole in the album. Also got a really nice 1954-D upgrade.

    Other highlights:
    1943-P silver war nickel
dateless Buffalo nickel (really ought to get nic-a-date one of these days)
    1992 Canadian 5 cents
    1939 x2
    2009-D x2
    2024-D

    Semi-keys: 1949-S, 1950 (sadly no D still!)

    Other pre-1960 finds:
    1941 x3
    1941-S x2
    1946
    1948 x2
    1948-D
    1949
    1951
    1952
    1952-D
    1953-D x2
1954-D x2 (including the upgrade mentioned above)
    1955-D
    1956-D
    1957-D
    1959
    1959-D

Just for the heck of it also got a penny box I'll go through in a bit.
