My son just got back after picking me up lunch at Micky D's. I gave him a $20 and he came back with this for part of my change. Sure it's beat up, but for a dollar...

I don't normally eat their food, mostly as a treat and laziness once a month. But I have had good luck there in the past.

Yeah, I was just going to suggest that you take that North Africa issue back to Mickey D's to spend. Maybe they will have you arrested for attempting to pass a counterfeit.

Great find! It's good they didn't try to mark it with a counterfeit pen for looking like "funny money."

 

Silver certificates are not around any more. While it is not much monetary gain, it is just cool that it is still around.

The yellow seal means it's one of the silver certificates used by armed service members in North Africa during World War II. They're similar to the brown seal Hawaii bills.

So a great catch from circulation. I had never heard of them before. Thank you.

 

I'd send him back to get a Big Mac, and ask the cashier to check their draw for others. I live in hope that people have or find stashes of these things and unload them all at once. Very nice indeed.
