Every thread was derogatory This right here is the point that a fight was picked. I didn't do it. Dan Carr fans have been forced to a certain thread, it just isn't right. I have every right to post a thread about a fantasy coin, eye puzzler to see if you see what I do. Just a wild creation, to have someone inflict terminology that sparks negative connotations. Why did you even post. It is to kill a thread. Say your peace and leave. And this is after I read him bashing in other threads. A quick look at OHNS has die struck artists. Instead of researching this token the past few days, I had to deal with the drama, I started it.
I remember what this site was like before that "certain thread" was started. This place was a war zone everyday. Many threads were started by those on both sides of the issue, just to pick a fight. The hate and anger was out of control. We lost some members over it and some just quit posting. Some lost friends over it all. They wanted no part of all the madness. When that "certain thread" started, this place went back to normal and fights on the topic became rare. Those that did not care for Dan's product stayed away from that thread and most were happy.
That may be so. But here we have physics-fan3.14 inserting unnecessary and derogatory "Carr" comments into this thread that had nothing to do with any Carr item. There was no mention of "Carr" in this thread until he brought it up for no good reason.
I get it, and I was here. How about the instigators that throw insults and defaming comments. How about they learn that they have zero standing, and their opinion really isn't worth the energy to post it. It is the folks that have zero intent to anger anyone that have to go post in the corner thread. It isn't any different than censoring speech. Physics went on a rampage, with intent to shut down multiple threads on Saturday. One of them being this thread that has nothing to do with DCarr. All that I have to say is someone needs some anger management class's if a token can get in between a friendship.
Thank you. I missed the other threads. You helped me understand all the facts. I'll be more careful in the future.
It does look very much like a Ron Landis creation. He usually tries to sneak in his initials 'RL' or his home town 'ES' as a die marker. The reverse 'HOBO TOKEN' is very prevalent on his reverses. If Ron didn't overstrike this, I would bet money that he engraved the dies for whomever did. Z A few examples of his:
I have been searching and searching. Thing is I can't even find overstrikes like these on the interwebs. When I bought it, it was next to a Ron Landis train design hobo obv but carved. The die cracks are a fun addition.
