Roman Empire: ca. 164-182 AD silver denarius of Lucilla, wife of Lucius Verus Because Roman women are sooooooooooooo hot!
Yes, carbonated water before Coca-Cola! Here's the last John Matthews in my collection, unfortunately banged up and ruined but super rare!
As mentioned in the last giveaway, my zodiac sign is Leo. Leo’s are known to be generous and big hearted. That said, please let this post be an extra chance for @expat for that beautiful lion coin, being I tried to steal it away the last time.
Enter me please for the 1896 Morgan Dollar. It is an awesome Morgan Dollar with a nice patina. Thanks for the contest!
I'm back, and going in for the Denarius of Commodus, so I can keep filling out my Antonine Emperors set. It's been put on ice for the past year or so, but I hope to keep adding to it soon. As always, thanks for the GaW!
I'd like to enter for the Spanish 1 Real coin, please. I know I've said I'd keep trying for the '96 Morgan, but I'm breaking stride on this one. If I win I would like to gift that coin to a very dear friend of mine. He was born in Seville and lived there until they moved to this country when I met him in 7th grade. We're now 45 and have been friends ever since. I think it would be a nice surprise for him because he only has a couple of coins, one of which is some other old Spanish coin he got from his dad before they retired and moved out of the country. Thanks again for running these giveaways!
I’m in! If I won I’d choose the 1873 seated quarter. I’ve mentioned in the past that the only example I have looks like it survived a wood chipper! See pics below:
As the Morgans seem to evade my grasp, this time, as I'm feeling particularly evil, I will go for the Roman Empire: ca. 177-192 AD silver denarius of Commodus. After all, my ancestors were bad enough to spawn words in Webster's dictionary..."Vandals, Vandalism"...
I still want to bee a Cow Boy So i'm still thinking of the 2 piece Morgan and Peace Dollars..as my entry post. Thank you so much for these giveaway contests!!! They really make peoples day!!
Thanks once more for the opportunity to win your example of the Japanese Edo Period coin. I would choose this coin as I don't have an example in my collection of unusual world currency. Wishing everyone a wonderful month !
I just added an ANACS MS62 1922 Peace dollar to the Giveaway Gallery yesterday. And an ANACS PF66 1959 Franklin half will be added soon (I might want to reshoot that one- I'm not happy with the pics of it). Also some fossil shark teeth, for something a little different. And some ancient and medieval artifacts. And quite a few silver bullion coins. Whenever I catch up some. So the prize list continues to expand. And as I always say, don't fret if you happen see a new prize pop up that you would like to have more than the one you already picked. You'll always have the option to change your mind at the end, if you win the drawing. The initial prize picks I ask everyone to post are just so I can see which items are popular.
Update: several of the coins mentioned above, plus the fossils, have now been added to the Giveaway Gallery. That work continues- I still have ten or more prize lots yet to add as of this typing. Note that the offerings in the Giveaway Gallery now run to two pages long, so you have to click to Page 2 to view the chronologically newer items in the inventory. (The gallery items are listed in chronological order, from oldest to newest by the age of the object.)
Just looked over the New list. Awesome man, awesome! Love the shark's teeth and the 2016 Candian "Cougar" coin. Love Cougars and Black Panthers....
