I have received my coins from my secret santa and I am very happy with all 11 world coins. I will post pics when I can. It is so nice to know my present has been received and liked. this is my 2nd year doing it. I plan on doing it every year. It feels so good to give coin gifts.
I finally got back to my house and was able to look at my SS gift. It is a variety of coins and an uncirculated Silver Certificate (the best conditioned one I now own). My favorite of the bunch has to be the Canadian Bank Token as St George was a Cavalryman and so am I. Thank you very much to my SS!
Ok... I want to take a moment to thank someone who took the time to send me a Secret Santa gift even though I wasn't participating this year... at least not officially. I will post pics after I get home, but THANK YOU!!! It really made my day!
It may have been lost in the mail. I think mine was. It was good to see that the one I sent was received. It's nice making folks smile!
Finally up and about a little after my surgery last Wednesday and able to take some pics. My secret santa wrapped the gift in two giant funny money $1 (one shown as the background here). Inside I got a lovely copper 1oz round commemorating the Timber Wolf, and an interesting mix of coins and tokens: an Argentine 20 Centavos 1959 with a major reverse cud and lamination issues (this is a nickel-plated steel coin), a Colombian 10 centavos 1956, an Oklahoma tax token, and an engraved "one penny" token that I believe is a Mason token. Thanks again Santa!
Ok... here are the pics: It's very cool, but the gift isn't that important, it's the thought and the fact that someone cared enough to send them that I find very touching! Thanks, Secret Santa! You made this boy very happy at Christmas! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Here is what I received from my SS. Thank you for the 2004 Denver Mint Coin and Die Set. It's an amazing piece of history. I am mostly a modern coin guy, so this fits nicely into my collection. Very Cool! Thanks to Kirk for running the show.
Holy cow - that's a nice gift!!! That's like winning the lottery for a nickel collector. Very Nice SS!
The Mason one? Oddly enough I already had a similar token (same kind of keystone iconography) which is why I think this one is also a Mason token. Probably from the 20s. I love interesting exonumia, so it's right up my alley. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
I liked your gift so much I went out and bought one. More reasonable than I thought. A cool item for a nickel collector. It will go nice next to my matched Stock printing plate and transfer Die in the display case above my desk.
Sorry for being late, I've been on the road and then have had internet issues once I made it back home. Thanks SS for these tokens that were waiting on my when I returned!
I received my Secret Santa gift just before New Years. I hope nothing fell out during shipment as the packaging had a hole in it when it arrived. Inside was a 1994 Proof Set which happens to be the year I graduated from High School , a couple rolls of 2016 Lincoln Cents, a small bag with some Canadian Coins, some coin roll wrappers, some cardboard 2x2's and a Greek 100 Ekaton Note. Thank you Secret Santa.
