My First Purchase of 2025

I won this in an auction over 2 weeks ago and I just received it in the mail today. It’s a 1895-S Morgan dollar. Only 6 more needed to have them all. Most are in this grade level and condition. A few are much better and some are more worn. None are details or damaged coins.
Only 400,000 were minted so it’s a semi-key date. Probably a VG-8 grade, nice and clean but worn. No rim dings either. This is the first coin I have purchased this year and it was worth waiting for.

There is a lot to be said for collecting coins that worked for a living. Nice pick-up.

Are you sure? Could tape it on outside of the folder. PR63 would be about $55k, but you could pickup a circulated example for only $40K. Maybe I'll have one to sell someday ... like never. Cal

 

Lol, I do need a few coins that will make you cringe but not one that high. I just save a little each time I can to make the layout of a large amount of cash doable.
