Error or not ? 2000 - P Virginia statehood quarter with no copper edge showing .

    Hello all and good morning ! I Ran across a quarter from my pocket change this morning that has me stumped . The question i have is would this be considered post mint damage or not , it's a first for me and certainly caught me eye.

    It's been plated. Probably with silver of platinum.

    Yes , that was my first thought , seeems like i do remember reading about state quarters beeing plated for the secondary market years ago . Also something i read one time or another about the reeding process dragging the clad layer over the copper edge , It's nice to have any set of eyes to help confirm any of my suspicions .
