A more modern style than I usually go for, but I really like the lady on the front.

Haven't bought currency in awhile, would have preferred the new higher denominations but I settled with the low.

Those are pretty neat! Fun things to have. I wonder when Antarctica will get colonized, and by whom...

While not "new" acquisitions, I thought I would share a few notes with people who appreciate them. The 1961 100 Korun Czech is super crisp and clean. The gold certificate is not as wrinkled, that is from the plastic holder/ light/ background.
The 1928 5 is very crisp, the $10 national currency is a little worn, but I couldn't pass it up at my former LCS as they were practically giving it away.

the last bank bills I got were from a ATM bunch of consecutive $20 stars that turned out to be high run stuff and I put them back in the wild cuz I needed the cash.
Lately I was looking at a on-line auction and saw a bill I would like to have, a $10 bill. The description said it first sold in 2013 for $750 it is a 1928A $10 with a plastic sleeve from PCGS that says Very Choice New 64 PPQ
I put a ridiculous bid on it, way way below the $750 and actually was the only bidder it seems. So I won this by total surprise.
Anyone know much about this bank bill? Did I get a fair deal at $250.00?
    thanks

If I had to guess, I'd say it's probably an Fr.2001-B, D or maybe H.
What is the serial number @BunkerTrapMan , or give us the Fr. # on the front of the holder.

I love paper currency (love to spend and save it too) and only recently started getting a few. I prefer the ones that state it's for Silver or Gold.

I think you did good BTM.

Note has tons of eye appeal, is super clean, and I love the Woods/Mellon signatures along with the numerical FRN Bank designation.

probably, birth year and date notes are always desirable. Although the question is now how many active collectors are 81 years old!
