I'm not rich enough to regularly get $100s. Although I once paid a quarter's worth of tuition (~$3500) in $100s. That was fun. Unfortunately, that rip though.
I hope that it wasn't destroyed like mine! But, even if it wasn't ripped, I probably still wouldn't have kept it unless it was one of the low run notes. $100 is just a bit much to set aside!
Mine isn't torn but it does have some writing on reverse and a light crease down the center. I just posted a thread because I'm not sure whether to keep/sell it or spend it due to a potentially low serial number premium. EDIT: Your note has a print run of 3,072,000. It's a 2009A like mine except your district is Chicago and mine is Minneapolis.
Absolutely! It is fun to find these, even when they are not worth much more over face. If I was filthy rich I would keep each and every one, regardless of condition or run size.
I save each and every star I find, up to $20. $20s are hard enough for me to find so I'm not losing much money off it. $1s are much more common and easier to afford, so I have dozens of these! None are worth anything but they're so neat!
