Carthago, it looks very high-tech?! ... hopefully it's not voice-activated (or are you fluent in Japanese?) リフト便座 ... 水洗トイレ
That is a nice coin, Bing Your are lucky to get such presents from your family! Unfortunately, no coins from anybody in my family this year, but I did get a bottle of mens perfume and 6 pairs of 'modish' underwear. My wife knows how to set priorities...
I hate those things, LOL. I always turn those off before they start warming, vibrating, spritzing, lights, talking, etc etc. LOL, nope, I don't want my seat alive while I am "enjoying the go". I did get a great tactical pen among other stocking stuffers from my wife!
Wonderful Christmas gifts everyone!! No coins or 'toilets' for me ....but I did get a load of socks to go along with my new slippers and the invitation last night (while attending a family Christmas dinner at a bother-in-law's house) to give the hosts new 'Japanese toilet' a 'test drive' LOL
Sweet gifts, everybody! My bro totally blew me away with what he gave me. First of all, these double the size of my fossil collection. I still have to do research on them, but I thought they were pretty sweet: Finally, he got me a cuneiform tablet!!! It's pretty beaten up, but there are a couple of mark that you can make out. He saw how fascinated I was with his tablets and decided I should have one of my own (more likely, he was sick of me asking to look at them, lol.) Bro didn't get anything ancient for Christmas. He's also big into wrestling, so I got him a WWE encyclopedia. Erin
I can't believe I'm asking. Guessing this cuts out the need for tp? And I'm curious, what was the motivation of the giftee? Seriously I can see this useful for an elderly or one with disabilities.
There isn't really a much better place to get the crap scared out of you, if the toilet starts speaking.
LOL. After traveling to Japan for the first time last year, I became enchanted with the wonders of their amazing toilets. Heated seats, automatically opening and closing lids when you walk into the bathroom, and yes, a butt washer AND dryer. Laugh as you may, but the Japanese have this down! And what else do you get the guy who has everything?!
Erin, I remembered that I have a few fossils that my dad gave me a long time ago. I just posted this image on the "Gem and Mineral"... thread also.
No coin gifts for me this year (except for my awesome Secret Saturn present). This year's weird but welcome and practical gift came from my mom, the master and finding inexpensive, strange, yet useful presents: This will come in very handy when I get back home! Scorpions in the sink or washing machine... now I can get them out without getting my hands too close. Same for big spiders .
Those are awesome fossils, Deacon Ray! I love fossils, especially dinosaur fossils. My favourite dino is the stegosaurus. Unfortunately, their fossils are very rare and when they're available, they ain't cheap. Erin
I am kinda lucky, I guess I got 5 coins for Christmas/ one on my Birthday and one on st. Nicholas Day....then there were all the ones I got from auctions throughout the 2016 year! In 2017, there will be that delightfull Triton XX auction/ The New York Sale/Stacks&Merena. I got one coin in my crosshairs from each of those events. In 2016 I managed 3 from Triton XIX, these came up just after the lunch break, luckily they went cheap. After that things heated up, and coins went for 10 to 20 times estimate!
i had to get a close up look at that control panel! wow! that hi tech gadget does some things that probably aren't legal in some states!
