My eldest son decided to buy me a coin for Christmas. I wonder how he knew about my hobby. Hmmmmm? It looks much better in hand than this image, but don't we all say that? I think he knows his old man pretty good.

Very thoughtful of him. I didn't get any coins from family but I did get money from my parents, which I will put to good use in a couple of weeks at FUN :D

although I want it for mountain biking, this baby can also go underwater to 10m (hopefully I don't get myself into trouble at the lake this summer!!)

Well, I'm off to the brother in-law's for Christmas dinner ... Ho-Ho-Ho

I can honestly say I have never seen a coin photo taken with a Go Pro. Now I have something to look forward to in the new year.

That is a very thoughtful gift from your son and one that has extra special meaning now. Tell him we all say "well done!"

Fantastic gift! And a Quinarius at that! ( I like to get those little guys...)

I did come HOME today to a coin I purchased that was in my mailbox! Felt like it was an Xmas to me! But no coins given at Xmas... Hmmm, got about $50 in eBay cards that I might spend on coins from my trusted Sellers...

    That was really special Bing!
I do not have any sons...but my stepdaughter gave me this for Christmas (I may offend certain folks...its not ancient) but still nice....My wife knew I wanted the coin St. James Auctions/but I had to work and would miss auction. So, she bid for me and won it. However she said that she forgot and so the coin was lost. She then split the costs with Emily and so I had a "surprise" under the Fir tree.

Nice gift @Bing! I did not get any coins for Christmas, but my husband is planning to accompany me to FUN in January, and he has said he would be amenable to buying me an ancient as my anniversary gift

@Bing - it is good to have someone who knows you!

My wife bought me a warm jacket so I will not freeze next month at the NYINC! I do not have one here. After all - they don’t have White Christmases in Houston

No coins, but got money. I guess I can always turn modern cash into an ancient coin. :)
