IO Saturnalia! Best wishes to all and many thanks for all the entertaining and educational posts this year!
Merry Christmas to everyone from the UK, hopefully during the holidays I can catch up with reading the posts.....
I would have thought so too, except for the one time I had to take a trip to Connecticut and got stuck in the middle of a blizzard. It was so cold outside that when I stepped out I thought I was going to die. I don't know how you northerners do it. I'd rather spend my December anchoring the boat off a little island and jumping in to swim, or drink beer and sunbathe, or go fishing, rather than spending December in what is basically a freezer.
You get used to living in a freezer after a while. Two weeks ago it was -30 ish with the wind chill. Last week felt like t shirt weather at a warm -6. Merry Christmas everyone.
I don't know I moved here to Tulsa from Fremont California about 20 years ago. The weather here is impossible, to cold, to hot, to wet, to humid. Lol. I don't think I'll ever get used to it. Merry Christmas everyone.
Merry Christmas, everyone!! All of you have been so great to my bro and I and we are very grateful! Hope Santa's good to y'all! Erin
Merry Christmas to all. What a great group! Here is Santa-like Postumus, Gallo-Roman emperor: There is a rumor that when the Gallo-Roman empire fell, they moved to California and founded a different Gallo empire. I'll drink to that!
Right back atcha! 75 degrees with a nice breeze out of south-----at Mama's house in Houston. Almost certainly her last Christmas. 87 and in home hospice care. Good docs at MD Anderson wrote her off in 2001, and again in 2010. Nope! Coal miners' daughters are tough cookies. And she's all that.
I can attest to coal miners and their kids. Plenty of 'em in my family and my wife's. Tough, but good people. We wish her the best. So, 75 degrees in Houston? It's a balmy 84 by my pool here in Tampa.
