It looks like the two reverse photos show different holders to me. The coin could have been reslabbed at some point and one of the photos is old.

It's definitely two different holders. It is possible it was reslabbed or he may have uploaded some wrong pics. Not sure why someone would show pics in two different holders intentionally

Definitely two different holders. The cert number checks out, and the digits I could make out on the later set of photos matches the first set. That first set is taken with some crazy intense light setup (you can see the back label through the front label!). It's making the coin look all funny. I'm wondering if that wasn't done on purpose to bring out the little bit of color you can see on it.

Other than that, I see a very well-struck 1879-O dollar. I think it could very well be legit.

It is nicely struck but not unusually so. This date tends to be well struck.

I wasn't referring to "O mint strike," (which isn't really a thing anyway), just that it looks very well struck, as you said.

Touching on our other thread of technical vs overall grading, I changed my mind where it seems like a case of thinking it is a technical 66. I am going to work off the assumption everything is legit and don't want to accuse anyone of anything, but I do think he would have been better off just showing the one slab pics to avoid these questions.

Definitely 2 different holders. One has PCGS coin #7190 on the label and the other has coin #7090 which matches the correct coin number in the Morgan Dollar series. Maybe originally a label error noting the 1889-CC PCGS series number, OR?

edit to add - the fourth digit in the serial number on the 7190 label does not match the fourth digit on the 7090 label. I'm suspecting nefarious activity based on this fact and this auction note"
Certification Number: pictured coin may not be exact coin offered

I agree with David. To me, the "O" mint marks are very different.
