FAST HELP! Weird looking penny

    look at the 8 VS the other numbers on the date, the 8 is WAY smaller than the others.

    I am not an expert on cents but don't believe this is unusual. I think the fact that the 9 and the 7 are naturally "longer" digits makes the 8 appear smaller. If you had a line under all 4 digits, the 9 and 7 would drop below the line, and the 1 and 8 would be even. I'm sure an expert will be along shortly with more definitive info than I have provided.

    It would help if it was a better close-up, but the 9 and the 7 are supposed to be larger. It looks about the same size as the 1 to me.

    What's the rush? Do you think you might score a big un on eBay?
