No, I'm not weak. As noted earlier, my gift wasn't wrapped so I knew what it was the moment I opened the shipping envelope -- a 1928s NGC AU 58 Peace Dollar! Figured it's now close enough to Christmas to go ahead and share. Thank you, Secret Santa. Your generosity is truly overwhelming!
Just got a tracking message that the package I sent is "Out for delivery." Only 5 days for priority mail--not bad for Christmas, I guess.
The package I sent made it. Still checking the mail box. It has got to be a mad scramble and a bunch of overtime for the PO this time of year , Or, my SS new I might not have the patience to wait.
This will be the first year in many that I will not get a numismatic gift at Christmas. I want you all to know that I am getting a huge kick out of watching you open yours. It's making my holiday a bit better, thanks!
This is so much fun, you are all great! If Christmas comes and goes and anyone is still missing a gift, just pm me your address, and i'll get something out right away.
The generosity of CT members never surprises me. I remember when a mom of a six or seven year old collector came to CT looking for a little help for her son and members just lined up offering and sending coins and gifts to her son. It was a beautiful thing and I'm pretty sure we have a collector for life. She was so happy that she had found us and the pictures of her son holding his new prizes were priceless. But today I am just overwhelmed with the gifts that I have received. So far I have received seven packages from CT members and can't wait to rip into them. I can't even figure out how all of you even got my address. Thank you ever so much guys, I've had a bit of a rough run of it lately and haven't added any new coins to my collection in several months. Without even seeing what is in the packages, my love for the hobby has been renewed and I can't thank you all enough. I hope that everyone receives their gifts and we can all celebrate together in a couple of days.
Got mine today, labeled SS PA. My nine year old, has asked me to open a few times in the past Half hour.
Ha ha, I swear I only sent me off once and it was to Kentucky. I did find out who shared it though. This is the first time this has ever happened. Last year Bing sent my son a gift, but otherwise I've always just received one package like everyone else. I don't remember being good this year, but maybe I was after all.
