Thankful Thursday! Post your "Thankfulness"

    Hello everyone! I'm excited to bring you all my *New Thread, "Thankful Thursday!". Posting everything numismatically or otherwise in nature.
    I'll get this party started. Yea! :jawdrop::p
    I'm mostly thankful for my family, friends (you included), all my Coins/trinkets from Detecting/ contests plus my mediocre health. :)
    These are just "some" of my detected coins and MD'ing "trinkets".

    I'm thankful that I finally have the money to blow on coins. At the same time, I feel guilty about it, because a ton of people don't. Although a lot of people blow money on dumber stuff than old useless coins, or so I tell myself. :)

    The Pilgrims, and, by association, their governor and my ancestor William Bradford, are often associated with Thanksgiving. Here's my Pilgrim half in an old NGC "fattie" holder.

    Ditto.

    You could spend $480,000 just to kill an animal, for example.

    (Yeah, yeah, I know- those trophy fees supposedly go to "support wildlife". But I still don't get it. OK, great... support wildlife. Why do you need to then destroy what you're supporting? But I digress.)

    Or if that last example is too controversial, there's always the $6.24 million banana.

    So, yeah. There are nuttier things to spend your money on than coins. And some people obviously do have too much money.

    Collecting coins preserves history. Collecting frog-shaped throw pillows is a cry for help. Turning coin images into a set of gears is... well... I'm not quite sure. My wife is thankful I don't bother her with this stuff.

    Well, to be fair, it IS slightly more comfortable sleeping on a bunch of frog-shaped throw pillows. More, at least, than sleeping on a bunch of gear-toothed coins would be... ;)
