I was not sure where to post this but...I picked this up at a tag sale recently for 50 cents. It appears to be made of copper. I cannot find a match on ebay. Could anyone possibly help me date and value and maybe maker of this particular one? img772.jpg img773.jpg I know the historical significance/background but just do not know about this one piece. Thanking all in advance.

Thanks so much! Incredibly interesting. It looks like mine might have a piece of cloth. I never knew anything except for the Saint and that it's Catholic. I guess I need to hold onto this for awhile until I can get some more info together. I'm wondering if I should visit my local church & priest to maybe give me some more insight? The only thing I might worry about is if this is a first relic, not meant to be given out and that he might be angry or want me to give it to him? Kind of a quandary.

I don't think priests are supposed to get angry for such a thing.. But sounds like a good plot for a Dan Brown novel.
Coin collector visits Catholic priest with a mystery Relic and the next thing he knows, he wakes up tied to a tree in the middle of a forest.. What ancient mystery, what secret power lays hidden with his now missing treasure!
Find out in.. The Padua Paradox

A new movie for Tom Hanks! I checked around some other sites including an antiques forum where I found many but none a match to mine. I'm guessing for the moment that mine falls into a Class 2 as it appears to be a piece of cloth and not the body. This is definitely going to take some time. Maker, which saint it came from, age, etc. The antique dealers around here are too clicky and snobbish to approach, been there, experienced it. But for a fifty cent investment, I can sit on this one. Thanks for the second link which answered a lot of questions.
