I think you think correctly and I don't want just any clash. I am not trying to collect a set of coins but simply observing that clashes for Commemoratives are not common as are coins of Severans or Claudius II.
I'm in the "loath" camp, too, but at least he doesn't sell fakes. I've seen a few misattributed but nothing that looked outright fake.
$900 a ton seems fair. Remember this business model does not want all of us to buy, only one. He may seem a bit extreme but the whole idea of advertising something as 50% off a price triple reasonable is common in many fields having nothing to do with coins. It is a bit sad because I have seen several coins of his that I would like to have over the years but have only bought two for reasons few would understand.
After he declined my $20 offer on the Aurelian I sent a message that he rediculously over priced his stuff. His response, "thank you for your comment. Feel free to make offers". What a dill hole.
LOL, insider asked me that when I called him one a while back. In short I'd say kinda like a dumb ass.
I think it surfaced 7-8 or so years ago. My granddaughter used it as a descriptive term. I guess I just kept it because the vocabulary is more accepted than the other.
Well there ya go, I myself never watched the show. My grandaughter now has her own daughter so I could see that.
I should add that this seller used to sell coins on amazon. I had tried to buy a coin from him, about 7 years ago and it was never sent. After contacting him with no response, I opened a claim and got my money back. Saw the coin on ebay for sale a little while later from him.
