My Boone date and mint mark endeavor is now 65% complete with the addition of this piece. Nothing left except the hard to get and expensive ones..... If one likes to, one can follow my progress here, https://www.cacgrading.com/registry/365/set/236/leaderboard/394637 Now on to the pics. The first three shots are low quality (high ISO) hand held shots. The subsequent pictures will appear much better as the ISO was dialed down and the lighting a tad better. Thanx for lookin' and commenting.
DO you have good clear photos of the 35/34? I was looking at them on Coin facts and couldn't see the underlying 34?
There are two varieties for the 1935.......1935 with no 'Pioneer year 1934' on the reverse and 'Pioneer year 1934' on the reverse usually referred to as 1935/34.
I looked there. The 34 has got to be faint if Phil wasn't able to make them stand out. It was going over my head I guess. I was thinking overdate.
I've been obsessed with the things since I was a kid. I do know a flock of 'em took down Yamamoto......
Robin Olds flew one in the European theater. The History Channel 'Dog Fights' featured him in one segment.
