1st box of halves for the week:

    9 40%ers

Best haul I've had in a few weeks, I'll definitely take it. With Christmas this weekend and the Banks closing earlier it's going to be tough to get my normal routine in. That and I couldn't dump three boxes due to the weather on Saturday so I am going to have to get creative on my pick ups and dumps. My goal of 10 oz this month is not as far out of reach as it once was.

Well as I mentioned I'm getting back at it as I have more time again. Have not done quarters in a long while and need some 2016 for my albums and still have a few P mint holes so, picked up a bag off the coin machine at my favorite bank.
didn't expect any but YEA!! got one silver. just a 64 but hey I'm happy to get one
a few 09-12 less common years
72-S and a 79-S proofs, the 72 was worn but the 79 in great shape
    filled in 4 2016 Denver (no Phili's)
    6 P mint for 2015 and earlier
also pulled some bi-centennial just for fun
also found a 68-D and 69-P that were really nice and upgraded my album
Didn't really expect much from quarters, but did find a lot of what I was looking for for my album so all in all good hunt with a little silver bonus.
If anyone wants to trade 09-16 I want Philadelphia mint and I have Denver mint. PM me

Cool that you found a silver, and a couple of proofs. And a lot of people aren't aware of just how scarce a lot of the 2009-2012 coins are. I save all of them I find except for 2009 P&D (District of Columbia), 2009-D (Puerto Rico), 2011 P&D Chickasaw (OK), 2012-D Hawaii Volcanoes, and 2012 P&D Denali (AK). All of the other coins for these 4 years have mintages of under 54 million, with many in the 20 million and 30 million range. I still am looking for a 2009-P North Mariana Islands coin to complete my modern quarter set.

Bummer! Four Loomis boxes all skunks. Six boxes left for the year, I'll not be hunting netxt week, but will start back up in 2017. Any new strategies out there?

I have 2K in halves to dump with limited time this week. I just did my second box this week at lunch and got skunked. Will have two more boxes on Friday so light week. I am going out of town next week and will be hunting there with my girlfriend who loves hunting just as much as I do! Hopefully we will score. As far as strategies go I have to hit more teller trays and make better friendships with the tellers. My main bank is getting rid of the coin machines in January so That cuts 6 dumping banks for me. I might have to shave off the amount of boxes I do from 5-8 to 3-4. I am thinking about opening another account with yet another bank but am hesitant to do so because it might sound ridiculous to them.

Opening another account is your decision. It doesn't hurt your credit score. I have accounts at 6 different banks and CRH all of them.

They do run a credit score check, at least the last one I opened for CRH did.

They don't run a full credit check. I've seen no change in my credit score.

$4 in loose halves from the vault, yes, the vault, of a small CU yielded 1, 40%er, a '67...I've looked through $500 boxes many times and found nothing, so I'm happy :)

I've always been more concerned about the Patriot act stuff when opening many bank accounts.

Do you get flagged for opening too many accounts?

I don't think you get " flagged". But since the Patriot Act, the banks work much more closely with the government. Actually, many, many private companies and institutions,( financial, medical, all kinds of commercial firms) interact with the various agencies at local and national levels. It's all about Homeland Security. Big Brother is here, except of course in certain sanctuary cities.
Keep on hunting that silver, I enjoy the posts, when a good haul is made.

I'm not exactly happy at the moment... nothing like finding a hard-to-find NIFC and see it get a two pronged attack. :( 2003-p ender damaged.jpg

I'm with you. I found 6 brand new dollar coins, Kennedy Ps, and they were essentially uncirculated... except for the X scratched on all of the faces. Some local dealer didn't want competition, I suppose.
