1955D penny error

    Hi my name is Tara I'm new to the site. I happen notice one of the 1955d wheat pennies I have has maybe an extra I in the Liberty. I'm not sure. Has anyone
    Ever seen this or can tell me what this is?

    That's a BIE cent. It's due to a broken die and has no numismatic value.

    Welcome to the site:) I agree with everyone above its a BIE cent, however it hold not much more numismatic value you can still get a few extra dollars for it...

    Some of us collect these, @Tara lea, so it's a good find. I'd keep it. At least you can see the thing without a microscope.
