I took part in both forums. I don't feel like a traitor.
I collected moderns for many years before a trip to the Dark Side. I enjoy both.
Saturnalia is or was a real event on Roman times and ran from Dec. 17 thru Dec 23.

 

Resist temptation.......be strong. Only a week more to wait.

 

A little bit of advise. When advising someone to resist temptation don't put the word 'week' in the message no matter how you spell it

 

That's sound advice. I shall remember it.

 

I'm out of town till Thursday night. No idea, but hoping it'll be there when I get back!

Ok, I was weak but I'm strong enough to wait til I post it.
I would never have thought I would get this coin from this forum. But my santa had to have done his homework.
Its great, I love it and will post at the ceremonial posting

 

We have seen one open their package and post photos. The rest are pretending to be Patient, haha.

 

I, unbelievably, actually have been patient this year. 6 more days. I keep telling myself I can do it.

 

Visit to local PO was waste of time. They told my wife that they "really didn't have time" to do this. They told her they could not provide details until the package reached it's destination. ????? Guess I'll have to scramble and find another gift to send. I have no days off work until 12/26/16. Will have to pick something from my inventory at home. Not what I wanted to do. Merry Christmas, Mr. Mailman.

 

I can't believe everyone is actually holding out this year. I'm not sure that more than a handful has ever waited until Christmas morning. Proud of you guys and ladies.

 

That really sucks yeah , pick put something else but make a complaint to the main post office and the postmaster general, documenting the interactions. That is pitiful customer service and for all you know, could mean that someone at that post office stole the package. No one knows if they "don't have time" to look into it, now do they?

And one thing you can do is daily track the package on line, taking screen shots of where it is. Keep your receipt and make a copy of that too. If it is in the system at some point it should show up.

 

@sonlarson if it doesn't show or you don't get a decent response to an escalated complaint, put in a claim for the value up to 50.00 and ask for the refund of postage cost, too.

 

Sent my secret santa's gift out on the 12th, went to check tracking today....no tracking!
I had sent out a bunch of packages on the 12th prior to going in for surgery last week and apparently the PO misunderstood and only put tracking on some but not all; hoping for a little Christmas magic to get it to its destination on time.

 

I suppose it's possible they just lost the tracking information, but my giftee hasn't responded yet. I think I'll play it safe and just mail another gift.

 

Want me to check with them first?
