    Need some help. Is this a proof? Pics aren't really good, but it has full steps.

    With over 100 million ms 1968 S nickels minted , from your images looks to be a circulated MS coin. In ms 63 value around 20 cents .

    It has Full Steps, it's an impaired proof. 1968-S FS Nickels are RARE.

    I think it's a business strike, and I disagree regarding full steps. Better photos might convince me. Got a shot of the obverse?

    I don't think this is a proof coin. Compare to the proofs below.

    It's an impaired proof. You can see the mirroring in the fields right around Monticello in the first image as well as the very sharp and distinct steps. Also the rims are a dead giveaway as well.
