I'm in for this one, those coins served a purpose and did honest work. Kinda like I think I do. Thanks again for the generous prizes and the fun contest.

Makes you wish Christmas was like 'Groundhog Day". The Movie, that is.... :)

Entry post for @Sting 60 as a thank you for the winning post to secure my round five win. Hopefully mine pops and I repay the favor! Heck, it’s already happened in this contest, so why not?

Wow, that’s a lot of pigeons.

Well, thank you kind sir. While I was waiting there, I noticed one guy walking by and avoided walking directly under the power lines. I wonder why. :dead:

Day 7 entry post. I'd love to have these. I don't have any US 2 cent or 3 cent in my son's collect. I'm sure he doesn't even know they exist yet. High hopes for this drawing. I hope everyone has a great holiday and an even greater New Year. Thank you @Randy Abercrombie for the chance to get these. @lordmarcovan thank you also. You guys are awesome.

    Day 7 entry post.
Found this in a coin counter reject tray. Canadian dime from reign of Queen Victoria. It’s dateless, so it’s from 1858-1901, but I’d bet it’s 1899-1901 based on mintages. Very cool find, and it’s sterling silver(92.5% instead of 90 or 80%) IMG_3794.jpeg IMG_3793.jpeg

Slick or not, that’s pretty awesome for a circulation find!

I'd love those, especially the 2 cents. The oldest thing I have from the US is this 1875 quarter that's had a hard life.

I would like to enter! For something cheery: Christmas is only 10 days away! I am almost done wrapping presents.... My wife and I are planning a treasure hunt to find them though, instead of simply giving them. We are waiting to find out when her parents and siblings are gone, then we'll sneak over and "lay our trail."

Sounds great! I only hope they leave the trail inside. You might get some Xmas pirates stealing.
How many presents to wrap now?

Entry post. Those US coins would be the oldest so far in my collection, 1883 is the oldest so far.
Here is Emperor Postumus looking like Santa, 1800 years ago, lol.

My wife had 10 siblings and two are married, so there were quite a few. We finished around 11:00 p.m. We normally don't go this extravagant, but they have been a great help in various ways to us this year. Thankfully we have not had porch pirate problems here in rural Maine just yet. May that continue!
