Sorry but the ANA is not the only ones whose opinion matters and the law is extremely clear in my opinion. In fact I'm purchasing a Carr Morgan and going to send it directly to the mint and see what they say about it. If they have no issue with it then so be it.

I was referring to prosecutors, I couldn't care less what the ANA thinks. You know that's been done before right? You aren't the first person to think of trying to tell on him

Well both messages I quoted referred to the ANA. And just because there has been no case or charges brought fourth thus far doesn't mean that what he's doing is legal or in compliance with the law and that no charges will ever be fourth coming. Do you have a link to where someone has sent an over strike to the mint and their reply to it? I've never seen this referenced before.

Great. Buy 2 or 3 actually in case one or two get lost in the mail ;) And please be sure to post the rejection letter when you get it.

"Did they notice that people do like his work no matter how hard they try to put him down."
If this is the only reason, then a 'copy' on the reverse shouldn't alter that fact, and Carr would have the same number of sales, so why not do that? Why, Maybe it would reduce sales due to those hoping to some day use it in a fraudulent manner? I think a large number of holders, shills, whatever, are enticed by the idea that someday they may be illegal, and they have a potentially large profit. ( No individual person implied).

There's been many people over the years in the various threads about him on the various forums that have said they were going to contact the mint ect and I am certain that at least one of them has followed through with it since someone followed through with the ANA complaint. Given how much some people hate him on some sites everything that could be alerted has been at one point or another.

This and these threads have been going on for years and years and it's all out in the open, it's never been a matter of if only they knew they would act as some suggest

No, it would reduce sales because it would look ugly.

If this should actually come to fruition I would prefer he sign his works with a DC mint mark. I see the word "copy" relevant for a restrike/copy of an actual mint release for circulation. The 1964 Morgan and Peace Dollar does not fit that criteria in my opinion. (nor any of the other fantasy dated denominations)

That's what the feds are looking at, and is why they don't have the time, or resources to check for restrike violations. LOL

I completely agree. You can't have a "copy" of something that doesn't exist.

This is one of the most asinine arguments presented. Anyone buying into this nonsense needs to stop and take a nice long look at this country today, and then (with a straight face) tell us how the government, when aware of anything questionable or even undeniably illegal as defined by their own rules, always takes action.

IMO, they should be chasing ambulances. :) I wish every one of them would get a life :jawdrop: and stop ruining things for others! :stop: I've heard that the commies have neighborhood spies on every street to report offenses.

See defaced works of art ^. I'll go for a tiny "fantasy" stamped into the edge. The dummies who do not know what "copy" means will not understand that word either.

Intent isn't required in the HPA. You're being kind to yourself in your own mind believing that.
If that's not the most incredible load of malarky I ever heard tendered in these threads, it's close enough.

I'm ready for Dan to try some gold. A 1964 St. Gaudens, or Lib, or Indian, what about a type set ?

    "shills" ?
You say "no individual person implied". But you DID implicate persons by calling a large number of them "shills".

    From dictionary.com :

I have NEVER asked anyone to post about my work or products, or to do anything other than express their own opinion.

I think describing his wares as "collector pieces" is a bit far fetched, but you're entitled to your opinion just as I am mine. I respect your opinion despite our disagreement.

A type set is actually what the whole overstrike thing is about. That is his end game and focua with the overstrikes. Aside maybe the $4 Stella lol
