No biggie. The balcony shot is way more appropriate, though. ;)

Florida, I assume. Nice place to be on the cusp of December. I’m a native Floridiot, myself, though I currently live about an hour north of the Sunshine State.

24-hour notice: Giveaway #118 will be closing soon, so get your entries in for that one if you have not already done so.

I might do the drawing tonight (very early Sunday morning, Eastern US time). Failing that, I’ll just draw the winner for that at the same time as I do the drawing for this, the current Round One of this contest; probably early Tuesday morning.

My Giveaway #118 is now closed and #120 is live now.

If anybody wonders why I skipped #119, that's because this contest is #119 (even though it's a joint Randy Abercrombie/LordM production).

    And Post #30 was by @CoinCorgi !

    Coingratulations, @CoinCorgi ! :)

    You have won Lot #1!

Please message @Randy Abercrombie with your shipping address, and be sure to post to this thread after you have received your prize. We will all be interested to know what your "mystery" prizes were, as well!

    LET ROUND 2 BEGIN!

    banner- day 2.png

    @lordmarcovan gave to thee...

    An AH1392 (1972 AD) Egyptian 10-piastre (10 qirsh) coin, NGC certified MS64.

    20c184455fc0432990cae04c1fdc0518.jpg

    Numista-1822, KM-430. NGC cert. #4687261-100.

Islamic falcon type. Nice Mint State example; mostly white, with good luster. A one-year type.

There will also be some additional "mystery prize" items.

To enter this round, all you need to do is:

    1. Say that you want this lot, and
    2. post something else coin-related or cheerful.

Then, sometime in the next 2-4 days (depending on my schedule), we'll do the drawing and move on to the next round.

You may of course say you want it for someone else, if you name that person.

    Round summary in Post #1.

    Side note-

Good lord, I logged out for a sec to check my work, and wow... look at all the ... ads!

As a moderator and former Supporter, I am not accustomed to seeing them. Ugh! They're everywhere! What a cluttered, tacky mess! :yack:

I had no idea that it was so bad. Dunno how some of y'all put up with that.

    But I digress.

If any of you wish to become a Supporter, here's how.

It should provide blessed relief from all that clutter of junky ads.

Count me in, too. I try not to enter too many of these as I like to give others the opportunity but "piastre" immediately made me think of a line from one of my favorite Steely Dan songs, Dr. Wu, which coincidentally was the name of my college math professor in my sophomore year. So....

The Egyptian coin in this round has a pretty modest book value (despite the Mint State slab), so to atone for that slightly, I think I added an extra piece of silver to the “mystery” portion of the lot.

I say “I think”, because, having presealed these packages, I have already partially forgotten what’s in the “mystery” part of each lot. Certainly nothing earthshaking, but just some fun added goodies.
