Hello everyone, After a 3-week detecting hiatus, I finally got to get out for some dirt fishing! I was in Puerto Rico doing some repairs on our family home. December is finally here. It is getting colder so Metal Detecting trips will be less during this time Yesterday I did a 5-hour detecting trip once again at Brooklyn's Prospect Park and Mount Prospect Park. They are 2 separate parks right next to each other. I did get 2 more silver coins. I will soon do a thread on my numbers for this year on all the silver coins detected in NYC and the seeded hunt I participated in down in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Here are my finds 1941 Winged Liberty Head Dime 1961 Silver Roosevelt Dime Both Denver Mint Marks 14 Wheat Cents - The oldest were 2 dated 1919 Elongated Cent which was altered at The San Diego Air & Space Museum Sterling Silver Thunderbird piece Mary & Joseph vintage religious pendant. The slide apart, cool design Mystery item - Bronze or Copper oval shaped and Hollow inside Everything On my last hunt I found a Cent that was cut on one side. This time I got one that was cut into a triangle
Thanks! I've used the term a few times in the past. It's when I remember that I say it Before I left for Puerto Rico it hadn't rained for about a month. The digs I did were true dirt and dust lifting! I love to detect after the rain. More controllable dirt plugs and much better signals!
