My unlucky streak with silver coin discovery continues.
Monthly total for November was ~1.00 coin. Terrible. I think my Coinstar machines are being closely watched by store personnel. That has kept my finds considerably down.
Today, a 2001 Toonie and a couple of dimes and a few newish cents and an old dirty scabby band aid. Yuck
    Total 24 cents. Meh

That moment when you walk into the credit union and the young 20 something very attractive blonde teller says "I've been waiting for you" and sells you the 1959-D quarter for face value.

Better than a coin machine reject slot find any day.

1 regular nickel, 2 dimes, 1 quarter and a 1942 wheatie. The latter came home to retire after 74 years of work, the others to the Salvation Army kettle.

It seemed appropriate to find a WWII era coin today

Small handful of Canadian dosh, a rolled cent from Jellystone National Park and one from the Golden Gate Bridge. Must have travelled far to come to the bEast coast.

image.jpeg Broke my 4 month Silverless streak. Finally scored a 1943 Mercury Dime plus 3.71 US coin plus Uganda 200 Shillings, Canadian Dime, 5 Centavos from Brasil. Love those Mercs.
Silly number of coins left in the Coinstar.
    Total 3.71 plus a Merc.

Was at the grocery today... as I walk to the coinstar a man gets there seconds before me with a bag of coins. I check the tray as I pass. Full of coins. He got extra today. I checked on my way out. It was empty. Missed by seconds.

I have done that ,, no no don't look. But I have also gone up to a few people and said, don't forget the coins in the return slot.
The other day I watched a guy dump about 100 bucks in coins, but I did snag his leftovers, Including a Merc dime.

It always amazes me when U.S. coinage is in the reject bin... I guess their mechanisms for kicking out rejects isn't 100% accurate, gunk on the coins, etc.?

If you dump the coins in the machine instead of streaming them in gradually that can and will happen.
