AV Quarter Eagle 1776-1926 Sesquicentennial Commerative

Just sold one of my examples yesterday, and already miss it!

 

Nice coin. I love the liberty pose, different from all the rest.

 

Where's the eagle?

 

One of the few coins I bought without an eagle, more because of the celebration of liberty.

 

Nice! I came close to picking one of these up a couple months ago, but something else follows me home from that show instead. That building reverse looks a little familiar though...

That was the first US coin I bought in a while. I have been concentrating mostly on high quality AV coinage from 650BC to 1970. I do have good collection of US obsolete currency. I hope to pick up some more US gold commeratives in next few months I am amazed that the 1915 Pan/Pacific gold $50 pieces were not a hit/ had I been around I would have lined up for one of each!
