Opinion on a Pair of 1924-D Lincoln's

As I go through my old low grade coins and try and downsize my collection...I have come across pieces that I have forgotten about. For example (and I know how this happened)...I have 3 1924-D Lincoln Cents. I honestly feel this is unnecessary and I should sell them all and buy one nice example. One is a PCGS graded VF20. The others are both raw and I would like an additional opinion (or a few) on their grade. I feel like I have a pretty good idea already...but I want to list them as honestly and accurately as I can. Please let me know what you think these two grade:

Left one looks F-12
Right one looks F-15 to VF-20 maybe

Pics are kinda dark, and I cant tell what is wear and what is crappy strike lol

 

I know...the coins are a little on the dark side. I can try and lighten the photo a little.

 

Up to you. There are other Lincoln guys on here better than me at grading, see what they have to say as well. I think im pretty close with my grades, lower grades i think are easier since it can only be a few options, but taking into account the crappy strikes with 1924 D, that is where it gets tricky.

I know, they are a pain to grade...which is one of the reasons I wanted some advice with these before I listed them for sale.

 

The second pic is better. I think I would stick with my original grades. How does the right one compare to your PCGS one?

 

It looks pretty similar. To be honest, I was thinking F12 (left) and VF20 (right). I can post photos of it later. I have a couple patients in the chair right now.

 

No problem. F-12 and VF-20 was my first reaction but I like to give a little room for error just is case im way off or something.

 

I would second those saying the left to be F12/F15 and the right to be low VF.

 

Here is the one PCGS called a VF20. I think the darker raw coin has a little more detail but with the strike issues this year...sometimes it can be a challenge.

 

First one 25 probably cleaned
Second 35.

Again, these are noted for their CRAPPY strikes (i.e worn dies) probably even more so than the 22-D

 

In hand, the first one looks problem free. I don't see any obvious signs of cleaning.

I knew that the 24-D was known for poor strikes...I didn't realize that it was more known than the 22-D. Very interesting.

 

22 may have worse strikes for some coins, but at least some of them are good. I do not think there is a solid strike for a 24-D.

Here is a 65 - the second best out there;

I usually look for a gap between the temple and the hair above the ear for XF and higher, but it just about is not there on a 65!

 

Oh, and here is a 45;
