As most of you know, I've been doing this daily coin related thread for some time now. I'm looking for more ideas for this Sunday, especially, but will take any suggestions for other days. :)
Was thinking about "Sterling Silver Sunday" but I don't think they ever struck a coin like that. ??
Thank You and Enjoy your peaceful Sunday!! :joyful:

Sal, there are other sections of CoinTalk you can also create threads o_O

How about Sterling Silver Sunday over at the General Discussion forum or even the Bullion Investing forum.

I have plenty of sterling silver finds from my metal detecting trips that I can share! :woot:

I doesn't always have to be about coins ;)

Right, because the general rule is "he who dies with the most toys wins". I know that most of us have many other interests and stuff to support those interests.

How about a "Slick Silver Sunday" because heavily-worn and used coins need love, too!

I've got at least one coin in sterling but it's a Franklin Mint coin. Papau New Guinea proof set 10 Kina is sterling, and very pretty looking.

The British coins, prior to 1920, were 92.5% silver, 7.5% copper which is sterling silver.

Canadian coins were 0.925 until 1920 as well, as far as I can tell.

All I could think of was Suffering Succotash Sunday but I have no idea what theme that would be - "this whimsical expression serves as a colorful manifestation of exasperation, astonishment, or disbelief."

    IMG_1338.jpeg IMG_1339.jpeg Australia was .925 through 1945. The 1942 S, 1943 S, & 1944 S were minted in……. San Francisco
    And some in Denver

Keep it up, Sal. You've come up with some good themes.

And in fact, there are plenty of Sterling silver coins. .925 silver (aka Sterling) was the British standard from about 1582 until 1919.

This mint error (double-struck & off-center) 1723 sixpence was struck under the Sterling standard.

Amending my coin star survivors Sunday. Could be just Survivors Sunday. Any coin or token you rescued from the road, sidewalk, coinstar, washer/dryer, change drawer at work, etc.
