The coin in question is a modern forgery. Feel free to mount away.

    Yay! BUY IT!

Make THAT into a ring and you'll have my respect for the finished product. Really.

Sorry, AofD- just had to have a little fun at your expense... ;)

Buy your puppies from the guy at the carnival.

Leave the living ones in the pet shop to be adopted by people who ain't gonna kill 'em and skin 'em.

You might even turn the carnival toys into something more valuable.

    Catch my drift? ;)

Honestly your analogy is twisted! Have a good Sunday... isn't time to take your coins for a walk?

    Later....

I should have been out taking a walk today... with my detector. They just cleared the woods off a promising new site.

But no, here I sit, in front of the keyboard again. *sigh*

on a positive note, I'm sure that if you wanted good looking replicas there are people here that would be willing to DONATE to the jewelry project.

Members are not obliged to answer any thread post if they feel it wouldn't supplement their reason for being here and reading. However I will say ( and this applies to ALL) ignore rather than be drawn into what you might consider nonsense. I have to read all, but I won't post back here unless an infraction occurs.

Everyone just assumed my project was a ring... I've shown the 12 Caesars in Silver I'm working on a Bronze and a Gold I use low grade coins for rings. I haven't see a Bronze Julius Caesar to know what is real or fake.

Confession time: I was unaware of whether Julius Caesar existed in bronze or not, myself.

Here is a genuine Julius Caesar in bronze for you to compare (sorry for the poor state but I could not afford any better...)
