Need help with attribution. The coin is worn and the patina is thick, so the obverse legend isn't as clear as I would like. Who is this? Constantine II? Constantius II? Constans? Delmatius? Reduced Centenionalis of Cyzicus Mint, AD 337-347 1.34 gm; 16.3 mm Here is stuff I am POSITIVE ABOUT: The obverse legend is unbroken and ends in NOB C The reverse legend is GLOR· IA EXERC ITVS The mint mark in the exergue is SMKB I have it narrowed down to one of those listed in RIC vii, pp. 659-660, no. 136-146. Thanks in advance!
Maybe this one? Although I can't make out the mintmark on my coin. This is my first ancient coin I got this past summer. Never id'ed it...
The next step is to count bumps and see which ones remain possible. Lacking IVN before NOB C eliminates Constantine II etc. My best guess using this method is Constantius II.
The last symbol in your mintmark looks like an "S" but is actually ϛ (digamma); which is Greek for the sixth workshop. Everyone calls it an S, myself included, but the distinction helps ID your coin. Your coin must come from an Eastern mint and I think there were only about three that would have ended with this workshop. It looks an S before the workshop though, so CONSS, from Constantinople. The style also looks right for Constantinople, but in hand you should be able to make out the mintmark better than I can from a picture.
