Nice, are you saying that you purchased some medieval coins? Posting some individual ones in the ancient section would get more attention per coin. They look nice from afar, more attractive than most of my anonymous folles. The patina looks pretty uniform, and it would have been unusual to have all the classes in one hoard, so it makes me wonder if the patina or earthen highlights are applied (the latter being more likely), but that isn't too unusual, nowadays. It's hard to tell from afar, but I don't see anything that would make me run away from these coins.
I never heard it live but I know most of those cigarette jingles from old time radio. Randy should post a few of them on the ancients section. It's nice that you started to dabble in those.
Yes. It means "loose strap means flapping ti...y.". Or are you referring to lucky strike means fine tobacco?
Yep, those jingles are burned into my brain, if only from hearing Orioles games on the AM radio during my early childhood. Also the TV ads.
My late father could easily recall and reproach his bumpy knuckles battles with Sister Salome, grade 4, St. James Boys School. Shes chargeable for some curious degrees of angle on a few of his fingers too. Ruler, switch or if I recall it right the spine of handsome bible - it was dealers (nuns) choice. To echo Randy above his experiences there never left him. Brother Benningus and Sister Salome, the alliteration in their names is noteworthy, match made in heaven or was it the one just south of there. Thanks for the memory, not so great ones for him but I always enjoyed any of his regales.
Ha!!! You beat me to it. I had the same video copied and pasted and was coming here to post it. The song title not only matches the thread title, but Randy’s predicament as well!
