PCGR PR 65 1890 V nickel. There are interesting polish marks that are toned and vanish under the devices. It's tough to photograph because of reflections, but I will try tomorrow. IMG_0698.JPG IMG_0700.JPG

That thought did occur. Anybody in addition to Ken think it would have a shot?

I dunno. I think that baby could do better than a '58.

Thing is, I bought it from a sharp dealer who would have jumped at the chance to upgrade it.

You should never use the words "Ken" and "Shot" in the same sentence. :stop:
    Especially have a shot!

    I fear it's a bit more than a 'shot' dear friend. :)

I would leave it alone - very nice coin, but not sure it would make MS. Then again a cross over to NGC might or might not make. Maybe a CAC sticker would help when you go to sell it. Just my humble opinion. I have a new 58+ - really nice coin in hand, but mine is definitely not worth a re-submit.

Your coin looks better than many of the low mint state range coins I have seen that have obvious friction. Congratulations on your new purchase.
