Being a huge fan of half dimes ,nickels, and the 5 cent piece this one really spoke to me...... The unstrung bow, arrows in the quiver, macuahutil - Oak/Laurel wreath with the Roman Numeral V in the center. Struck in copper /nickel 5 grams weight, 20 mm, Mexican Republic struck two year 1882 and 83. There's also 1,2,3, centavos struck again the same design as the 5.
The item on this specimen that drew me in was the design that seems to parallel the U.S. Liberty nickel of the same time frame of the early 1880's. Mexico+-+1882+5+Cents.jpg

Don't judge me on this one. I didn't pay the price on the sticker. Mintage of 10,000 and nicely made.

Nicely done. Though I don't collect modern coinage, I love this series!

Got this for 4$ today. Fairly common type but in great shape for the price.

This 1911 10 centesimi was the perfect complement to my 5 Lire silver and 50 lire gold coins celebrating 50th anniversary of the kingdom.

I got these Prussian 1764 1/6 Thaler and 1771 Thaler for 31 €. Nicest thing about that bargain is that I didnt have these types in my Brandenburg/Prussia collection before :)

I got this a few weeks ago. It's the last of the Canadian "reflections" silver bullion series showing different animals reflected in the water. I got the other two months ago and this completes the set. The scans don't fully do it justice but I really like the design. 2016 canada 10 dollars fox.jpg
