Hello! I Found this coin today and was Wondering if these are uncommon or unfound errors since I can not actually find images simalar to the coin I have and could this possibly be similar to the other 1958D error coin that previously sold for $100,000? :)
    Errors noted are

    1) Can not actually tell if its date is supposed to be a 58-or 56 since their is die error.

    2) clash strike possibly stamped on reverse side in the word of and on feather. (With magnifying glass looks like extra feather lightly stamped making it appear like strike under of)

    3) Right feather is definitely doubled or stamped twice.

To me it looks like a beat up 1956D. BTW, those are wheat stalks, not feathers. I'm sure there will be people along who know much more than me, so don't give up hope.

That is why they named it THE WHEAT CENT

To me it is a 1956.. and no it is not worth $100,000
PMD - It is Post Mint Damage
Those are not clashes but hard hits the Wheat Cent took
    That is metal displacement

Sorry, not errors. I can see on the date where the coin took a hit and the metal was shoved around. A possible die chip on the wheat stalk closest to the rim but a hit again over top of that.

    bdunnse Who dat?

Looks like a 58D that took a hit on the bottom left quadrant of the upper circle in the 8.

Can you direct us to this sale? Website?
I don't see why it would sell for so much.

Thank you, I read this article years ago and had forgotten about it. It would be nice to find. But as Ken Potter stated, it has to look exactly like the one in the picture!
