What is the cause of this?

    1990 D quarter, that has a bulge on the left front that looks like the top of a pin on the back, kind of that little ball that you'd hold it by. Around that bulge looks to be lifted as well, and the bulge is very well. Defined circular, to the left of that bulge, on the outer rim, that's raised, it looks to be a backward c or part of the letter.D. the silver in the area seems to be also impacts it, as there's more of it in that area, and then slowly builds up left and right towards a fifty fifty balance. On the back side is a gouge, opposite of the bulch, that looks to be slightly curved upwards and more pointy on the left with an uneven depth on the gouge, which runs from the wing, all the way to nearly the entire edge of the quarter through the race section as well.

    Whatever it is, it's a damaged coin. I'm not going to bother clicking on a facebook link though.
