Mine is an 1864 Civil War token from an eclectic collection of mostly Lincolns and Jeffersons from my grandfather. He was the one who got me into coin collecting nearly 30 years ago, and CWTs are a passion of mine. It is currently in PCGS plastic, graded VF30.
No, but when I see Siberian Man's picture I always think that's how he looks, even though I have the Russian 500 ruble bill that the picture is from.
I have seen images of Eugene , that he has posted from his home town. He look 's nothing like his avatar . But I Can understand why he uses it.
Maximinus or "Big Max" was the Emperor of Rome from AD 235 to AD 238. He was supposedly over eight feet tall and was a former wrestler. His reign ended the usual way for a Roman Emperor, he was murdered.
Mine is a blurry image of a coin my dad had on his money clip. He always carried it but I never seen any bills in it. It was given to him by the family of one of his best friends who had passed away.
Me when I am playing with my coins! Also, from 2 years ago... https://www.cointalk.com/threads/whats-the-story-behind-your-avatar.256215/
Mine is currently a coin I paid WAY too much for, but couldn't pass up. It was already graded. The one I usually use is my favorite coin. I bought it raw on ebay, and you really couldn't even tell it was toned from the seller's pics. I gotta say, I stole it at the price I paid. There are still great deals on ebay Graded MS62 with NGC.
I have a fetish for old women with frosty white hair. My avatar is an old no-line fatty NGC MS65 PL that I picked up last labor day , John Roberts has looked it at and agrees it's very solid for the grade assigned. Morgan dollars are what got me started in collecting, even though I've dabbled in other series, I always end up making the most profit and finding the coolest varieties with Morgan dollars. Although, my toned type set is nothing to balk at either. I'm looking at you Farran Zerbe
Mine is Pax the godess of peace. Its th reverse of a Postumus Billon Ant. still has the silvering showing. Coin comes from the "Mossy Bottom Barn" hoard uncovered in 2000 I believe. Came my way eventually from a member here YOC.
Larry, that cut-out reminds me of some of the cut-outs that James Garcia used to post on the NGC forums. Chris
Mine is self-explanatory. Strictly shameless self-promotion of the greatest show about coins and coin collecting ever!
