    What did PCGS grade this Buffalo?

    Hey, lay off the Sauce! LOL
    Nah, not when it comes to Buffalos in a slab.
    Those under graded coins don't come around very often. This one is definitely MS. Unless you see something?

    LOL! I guessed 58 because the buffalo looks like the torso has gotten a bit of wear. Maybe it was just a worn die? To be honest, I'm crap at estimating grade on buffalo's. I'm just going on comparative pictures from coinfacts so take my guess with a grain of salt!

    They are one of the hardest to grade, the way I was taught was to look at the horn. It took a while to be taught about the tail. When I look at a buffalo, I look at the tail. If it is still split then I know that the coin was struck fairly well.

    It is hard to find any detail, on any buffalo, in the shoulder of the bison or the knot of the braid. I had to take a look at photos of proofs to make sure what I was supposed to see.

    Well here is the grade, it's nothing spectacular just a nice looking gem.

    Deserved better, but that's just the humble opinion of an old coin collector. :)
