I actually think a screw got struck into the die. You can see the threads, and a tough machine screw would be hard enough to have its' own way in such a confrontation.
Nope. It looks more like a "dent" than a chip, and I don't really expect regular indentations like that in a die break of any sort. Similar to the other Lincoln you posted, it's not quite "sharp" enough for a typical die chip. So I went with what seemed intuitive. Doesn't mean I'm right.
Maybe I'll send both of them to one of the experts just for giggles to get their in hand opinion. Who do you think would be best for this sort of thing. Wiley, wexler, Mike diamond?
