I scrapped a bunch of metals, my budget really wasn't allowing me to buy any coins. I have been preparing for this day for a while and stored up the metals from doing Bath remodels and well drinking beer, so o had a tone of cans in bags on the side of the house. Here is the first. These are preliminary photos, I think I can get some better details on this one. It will go with one of my Quarters and dime. Have a safe Halloween!
Hmm. Maybe I worded it incorrectly. I meant to say that the scrap that you cashed in on was well worth the coin purchase.
In cases such as this the word 'color' must be substituted with the English version of colour. I believe the UK terminology adds more vibrance.....
In that case I am going to try the next of the bunch, it's a Lincoln known to be colorful. Reminder, I don't do toned Lincoln's well.
I do this too. Although the accumulated funds haven't yet gone directly to a coin, it falls under discretionary spending. We get 50c/lb for aluminum around here. It breaks my heart to go to the public recycling center and see all the cans in the bin. Do these people not know a bag of cans gets you $7 at the private recyclers, or are they just lazy?
Years ago I used to drink literally tons of Diet Cokes. We have a sanctuary wooded area behind my house (my property) so I started saving cans to recycle. I would crush the cans and place them in garbage bags, and hide them out of sight. Well, 3 years later, I had enough to fill the bed of my truck bed with, to the brim. So I took them to the recycle center and they weighed and paid me. $40. And that is the end of my recycling adventure.
