This cent just caught my eye today

We all have coins that are gorgeous. but we sort of forget about them since there are so many others to look at. I just happened to see this photo and I was struck once again by this non-special issue.

Found in circulation way back when

 

It is this one for me. Years back I bought this as a bullion purchase to be tossed in the safe deposit box and forgotten about. But I just fell in love with the piece for a number of reasons. It never made it to the SDB.

 

I was fortunate to have started at an early age and in a day when so many fine coins were still in circulation. Here are some great looking coins I found in circulation.

 

I’ve always wanted one of those. I still think they made a mistake in design choices in 1932

Beautiful coin. The ‘68-S surprisingly is a hard find in circulation, too.
