1936 p Mercury dime, also pretty cool that you still have the coin after all this time. I myself have a harshly cleaned and very worn 1917 that was one of the first coins I ever found metal detecting with my father that I still have as part of my collection.

That's cool. I have kept every noteworthy detecting find I've made since 1992, with records on where everything was found (date, location, etc).

Many collections have come and gone, but I've always kept my dug "treasures". They might not be as pretty as my bought treasures, but they "speak" to my imagination just as much if not more, and I'm sentimental about them. To anyone else, most of them would just be bullion or scrap.

I thought I remembered what I had read, but my memory let me down. Wrong date. Ah well, I like contests. Happy Thanksgiving, all!

Well, OK. Time to pick a winner.

What I'll do is fire up the random number generator at random.org and let it pick numbers until it lands on somebody who had the correct answer.

    And here we go...

Post #40 - the winner is... lordmarcovan!

    Congratulations, lordm-

Oh. Wait a sec. Guess we should draw again, huh? LOL.

Post #33 - the winner is... NLL!

Congratulations, NLL! PM sent. Make your selection of prize and PM me your shipping address.

I say, echoing @Johndoe2000$, and as Mrs. Slocombe from "Are You Being Served" was wont to say, "And I am unanimous in that."
