Books - you were wondering in stead of educating? That coin was one of the worst example of a true 3 legged Buff I've ever seen - why would you wait to throw your opinion into the arena? I took you as a better person of knowledge than that!
The only thing they got right was the die chip under the beard. My phone was dying when I was taking pics. The only pic of the obv I got.
"I wondered".... as I was reading the thread, which means I would've been repeating what had already been said. Yes, that's the CT way, but still... It's a pretty clear identifier in this case, and the OP seems to have realized this on his own. He deserves full credit.
No - if Pickin already knew the problem was there any other reason to stick your nose into it? Mine either - I didn't!!
What the hell are you talking about? The guy discovered something on his own, deserved credit, and you're complaining because I gave him that nod? It's okay, Markus... the Browns will win one day, the Cavs and Indians will be good next year as well, and your state went red. Be happy.
I have built a pretty good relationship with the manager of the Pawn shop. I plan on being there in the morning to let him know that he has a bunch of fakes for sale. I hope he understands and pulls them off the shelf.
Sorry Books - We are planning a 0-16 parade for the Browns, and yes, Indians can not overcome a 3-1 lead ever - it just seems sometimes you are good dude then you turn mean. Just my observation. and others have said so - I just read 'em, sorry if I pissed in your Cheerios tonight!!
Yeah - he discovered a counterfeit!! Good going Phil - didn't need 2nd hand help to realize that!! AAA+++
I personally would return all of these to the shop, ask for a refund . ....afterwards inform the shop owner that if spotted for sale again you'll inform the local police department . That's what I would do....who knows how long this practice has been going on..... and if the owner don't know the difference he (they) shouldn't be selling items as such.
I didn't buy the 3 legged or, any of the Half dollar commemoratives, Just stopped by to see what they had.
I highly suggest that you take Paddy's advice on this one. And let me add this as an amateur...the Pluribus Unum is too close to the back.
This is from an old thread of mine comparing the missing leg/hoof area. I have found this portion an excellent diagnostic. I own all of the coins shown. Post 23 https://www.cointalk.com/threads/coin-buying-education-101-3-new-7-31.63603/page-2
