ping is fine sounds like all other silver, others were Chinese fakes and I took a chance on them because I know very little about Chinese coins.

So it has been confirmed it is silver..by many methods of testing I took it to many dealers in the area (and so everyone knows I KNOW dealers are NOT experts no confusion on that right?) One of the dealers I took it to has been at it for 40 or so years, his name is David Hill in Barboursville WV. Only other thing I can do is send it in for verification to a TPG but in the condition it is in it wouldnt be worth the grading fee. I can sell it for 5 bucks so im not too concerned about it lol.

Eric.. that's great that it is silver, BUT.. the most important question is..
Is it an authentic coin? Did you ask Mr. Hill? o_O

yes paddy I asked him and he does consider it to be a legitimate US coin. I do believe the problem with this is the pictures I provided. It shows a coin with grainy surfaces like it is sand blasted but in hand it doesnt look that way.
