Well boys and girls after many, many boxes of pennies I came across my first ihc. At first it looked like just another Canadian but I said those aren't maple leaves, those are the leaves that Indian cents have!!! I was so shocked and granted it's only a 1907 it's still a cool piece because I found it doing what I love the most. I don't care about making a million by CRH I do it for the hunt. I went a little overboard this week spending $200 on two penny boxes and a bunch of quarter rolls but hey it's my birthday Monday. Also bought a roll of John Adams dollar coins anyone know if they are unc. Because I bought em at my bank. Anywho leave a comment and photo of your favorite CRH finds !!!!! Let's talk about our love of coins we all share emensly... IMG_20161118_152014.jpg

You lucky dog! I've found buffalo nickels, and mercury dimes in rolls... But never an IHC!

It's so exciting isn't it? I found 3 buffalos before a 1937, an extremely dirty one and a dateless. I don't search dimes but I do appreciate mercs! I love cents and nickels. And quarters on pay day. Been finding many war nickels recently how about you your from east coast correct same here

Yeah I live in the Boston area. I'm mainly a cent and nickel hunter as well, I'll do dimes every once in a great while, just happened to get lucky and score 50 silver dimes in one roll.
I've actually found more buffalo nickels than war nickels oddly enough.. Here's a pic of my favorite buff from CRH, still has full luster

It looks much better in hand, I couldn't really capture it with the camera phone

    still , that is wear.

no luster, unless it was cleaned, then definitely no luster

I couldn't illustrate the nickel in question with a close up shot, but here is a pic of it next to other buffalo nickels with average wear, so do I think it would grade MS? No. But I do believe it is high EF-low AU, admittedly I'm no grading expert, but it is definitely a very nice condition (in the wild) find

I've had several, but this AU 1939-D is my favorite to date... I found a vein of old nickels out of a fresh LOOMIS box 99 pre-60s in 26 rolls, and decided to go back for seconds and thirds... the final tally: 206 pre-60s in 94 rolls out of two LOOMIS boxes including three Buffalos, 1938-D, and 1938-S Jeffersons, and this beauty!

Admittedly I have been searching cent rolls since 2007 - didn't find the first IHC until 2010 then since then I have found 34 of them, from 1865 - 1907. Also found a couple of beaten up 1858 FE cents in 2014.
