@ValiantKnight : Beautiful coin and worthy of the finest collection.

BTW, it would certainly bother me if they sent me a coin "like" the other without telling me. They could have just made an honest mistake by sending one that looks the same. It happens. Unless you like the second one better I would ask for the original piece, and if it is not available ask for some compensation for their error.

Thanks Brian. Honesty, I actually like this coin just as much if not more than the one I originally purchased, mostly the fact that its from Toledo, a mint I didn't have, unlike Emerita from which I do have a couple of Visigothic bronze nummi. Just the tiny blemish on all of this is the tiny crack, but even then it pretty much doesn't really bother me. If it was a tremissis that was broken or mangled then yeah I'd definitely want something done right away about it. I would rather have like a small partial refund or something because of the crack than to have to send back this one and wait two weeks for the Emerita tremissis, if they still have it. I sent an email to them yesterday but if they don't respond then I won't push it. If I buy from them in the future then I'll use that opportunity to bring this issue up.

Congrats! I must've missed this post initially. The coin certainly caught my eye in your avatar, though!

Now, here's what I'd like to know... how long do you suppose it took for guys who referred to Sisebut as "Sissy Butt" to have their skulls cleft with a battleaxe? One wonders.

    ;)
