A few years ago I bought a lot of 400 plus Tokens. Just looked at them a little bit and found this in the bag. It’s a 1922-S Liberty Walking Half Dollar. A semi-key date with only 548,000 minted. The fifth lowest mintage of all the Walkers if I’m not mistaken. She’s worn down to a G-6, maybe an 8 on a good day. This alone pays for the rest of the tokens.
I used to pick up 'Walkers' all the time during collection day, on my paper route, when I was a kid. The weekly fee was 30 cents and most folks would throw ya a 50 cent piece. Nice discovery collecting nut.
…that’s a 1921-S…typo?…Spark Yeah, just a typo. Mintage is correct for ‘21-S and they did not make any in 1922.
…Still a very nice, pleasant surprise. Nice find…Spark edit to add: It looks better than G4 in most places but less than G6 in a few, so between PCGS Photograde and NumisMedia/FMV I proclaim the condition to be G5. This calculates out to be a value of (approx.) $93.75. TPG would be slightly less and a buyer would offer less. My crystal ball tells me the final sale price will be $85.77, should you decide to sell. My magic 8-ball has been consulted as well… and has answered…”ambiguous”. @Collecting Nut
