After seeing this post, I made a report item on eBay, did anyone else ? It's actually pretty easy, just 3 clicks on their options and done. I wish all would take about 20 seconds to do the same thing when they see a bad offering. This was way off though, the seller was new, coin wrong, unusual shipping times, but the price was low I think. Just needed to be listed as Not Real Coin. JMHO. John.
Ebay has completely emasculated their reporting system, to the point where the gist of what you can tell them is "there's something wrong with this coin" and cannot offer an explanation. For instance, a 1922-D No D in a fake PCGS slab - the coin isn't counterfeit, it's just altered and in a counterfeit slab. Within the limits of their reporting, you can't tell them what it is. You have to expect them to be able to research and identify the problem (did I mention they fired all the coin experts they were depending on?) with nothing to go on.
And two years before the Philadelphia mint began coining, and one year before the US Mint was even created.
